How Donorline is paid, and what it refuses
One affiliate programme can pay this site. Everything else we recommend pays us nothing, and several offers in this field are refused outright. Here is the full list.
Donorline may be paid when a reader follows one specific kind of link and then takes an action on the provider's site, such as booking a consultation. That is the only way the site earns money. It does not change what we write or which options we mention.
The link that can pay us
HairClub. In the US and Canada, HairClub offers a free consultation and provides hair transplant surgery alongside non-surgical options. When we mention it, the link goes through a /go/hairclub address on our domain, is marked as sponsored, and has a note beside it saying that we may be paid. We don't publish any figure for what we might earn, and we don't describe it as the best choice. It is one way to get a first consultation, not a recommendation of any clinic or surgeon.
What pays us nothing
Most of our advice pays us nothing, and we say so where it appears:
- seeing a GP or board-certified dermatologist for a diagnosis before any consultation about surgery
- looking up member surgeons in the ISHRS Find a Doctor directory
- checking a surgeon against the ISHRS Fight the FIGHT pledge list
- asking any clinic the same set of questions about who performs each step
What we refuse
These are refused and are never linked from this site, whatever they would pay:
- Hair-loss offers on ClickBank and Digistore24. Information products and supplements sold with aggressive claims.
- HealthTrader. Pharmacy-style offers we won't route readers to.
- Luviacure. Its ambassador model is sold on income claims, not patient care.
- Flymedi and Medigance. Unverified medical-travel facilitators.
- Clinic-matching facilitators such as Bookimed, Qunomedical and WhatClinic, which are paid by clinics.
- Bosley. Its affiliate programme is closed.
- Capillus. Not linked.
- HT.clinic. A clinic network we have not vetted; not linked.
We also don't accept payment from any clinic or surgeon, we don't sell rankings or sponsored articles, and we don't name clinics in our guides. If that ever changes, this page will be rewritten first.
How links are marked
Affiliate links use a /go/ address and carry sponsored and nofollow attributes, which tell search engines they are paid. Every page that contains one shows a short notice near the top. Links to medical bodies, research and government advice are ordinary links and pay nothing.
